The Combination of Coffee and Chocolate
There are two items in the world that people love intensely. Those are coffee and chocolate. Certainly there are other items that are loved, but these two seem to have quite the following. Why is that? Here are my quick thoughts on why that may be the case.
Start with Coffee
Coffee is one of the most traded commodities in the world. People love it. It offers a natural shot of energy in the form of caffeine. The flavor is great and it can vary in subtle, yet fantastic ways. Coffee also goes well as the base flavor in a good coffee drink. Think latte, macchiato, mocha, cappuccino, and drinks like that.
Coffee also makes a good setup drink throughout the day. It sets you up well in the morning. Coffee adds a great pick-me-up in the middle of the afternoon. For those of you caffeine warriors out there, coffee can also be an awesome drink to have after dinner. I love a good espresso after a nice meal. One last thing about coffee. The water throughout the world is not always the most flavorful thing you will come across. Coffee can cover up a lot of bad flavors in places where you need it.
Now Chocolate Gets Its Turn
Then we look at chocolate. People absolutely love chocolate. They fall all over themselves for chocolate. The big chocolate lovers love to put chocolate in their coffee, thus the mocha. There are also people who love a good square of dark chocolate with their coffee. It’s a snack they look forward to every day.
Like coffee, chocolate will donate a little bit of caffeine to the fray. Take the caffeine and add it to the typical sugar that is included and you have yourself a nice bundle of energy in a piece of chocolate. Now take that delicious bundle of chocolate energy and put it together with coffee and you have magic.
Your Thoughts
What about you? Do you like coffee and chocolate? I will admit, I do. My problem with chocolate is the sugar. Thankfully, I like dark chocolate too. Coffee is an obvious yes. I run KC Coffee Co. for goodness sake!
